Which Art?

No one martial art is better than another in my opinion, the just have their own specialties. Although there is no bad martial arts it is important to know what is on offer at a club. Is it a more self defense based class? Or a competition based class? Fitness class? Acrobatics type class?. It is important to chose a club which has god credentials and offers what you are expecting. There is 5 things you should expect of a martial arts club:

  1. A black belt instructor with a traceable black belt certificate/license
  2. A current qualification in teaching martial arts (covering health and safety, child protection and first aid amongst other things)
  3. An enhanced DBS disclosure (should not be more than 2years old)
  4. A clear pricing structure
  5. Instructors Indemnity Insurance
